That is cool!
Can you tell us more about this engine, or it is your tiny secret?

i think counterweighted crank, big turbo, cams, heads .... forged pistons but hard to found
i think 200hp is possible with some works. or more maybe

I agree, that is what
shoud be done, but that is even more $$. The 1200 is supposed to be 'fun on the side'
Instead it will be original crank, rods, pistons and heads. But I will try to upgrade the original parts a bit like I did in my current 2.2 type 4

Plus a suby stock 2L Impreza wrx turbo (too big) of course
I also agree that 200 hp should be possible, but that will take much more effort...
The cam and the turbo will have to do all the work...
May take some time as even a type 1 with mostly stock parts is not cheap if you want to keep it alive a little bit longer

Made some nice progress this weekend:
Trial fitting the too big of a turbo.
Looks like it might even sort-of fit

Be aware that I have a bit more room there as my engine is moved a few cm further backards.
The 4" (!..) air inlet will however collide with the Cup strebe so will need to make s/th for that, for which I already have an idea

Yes! However...I have had some trouble with the keeping the arm centered as it does not sit stable on my Ti retainers.... hence the 2 hose clamps....
