flat 4 with 16 valves and DOHC

Hi,

wanted to inform you about a new project (not new for us anymore). Me and Robert Bernauer from RMB are doing a flat 4 with 16 valves and DOHC. The engine will be on a new basis with 5 crankshaft bearings. So high revvs will be no problem to this engine even on long term.

I constructed the heads and all the parts around. Will try to link some pics (PDFs of the construction) to this site. We easily expect 100 PS per 1000 cc for this engine. The engine will be between 1800 and 2500 cc.

As I will have my milling centre in the next two weeks (after a long period of waiting) we will be able to bring the project forward now. Will give you an update from time to time.

je ne suis pas assez compétent!! je suis un bon ami de Martin et je suis moi même fan de ce concept. J'essaye de faire partager à chacun l'avancement du projet.

Il travaille avec Mr Bernauer, un très bon préparateur allemand très discret, mais efficace! Ceux qui disposent des premiers VW Tech s'en souviendront...

Je ne suis pas certain d'avoir tout saisi, il s'agit d'un moteur sur base VW ou carrément d'un moteur nouvellement créé ???

Si j'ai bien compris: l'objectif est de partir d'une base fiable et très puissante permettant de réaliser 350000km sans probleme, mais de lui installer un refroidissement à air....

Je trouve cela très tentant!!!! vivement la suite...

alors: petite exclu de la part de marc1302 donc plus de culbuteurs, mais 4 arbres à cames en tête, j'imagine la mise au point de la distrib' je laisse le soin à Martin de faire d'autres commentaires et explications

Hi,

nothing new directly on the 4-valve engine, but something that will help me to realize this project is my new milling centre. Started working on it last week. See a first picture here: http://www.bugat5speed.de/cms/content/v ... 1/lang,de/

The centre is with 4 axis and a very good control system. In addition I bought a CAD/CAM-system to make it easier to work with CAD-data directly.
