My Beetle is a 1200 Std from 74. I will try to give all the information i can

Engine:

1915 cc Wbx (Watercooled) with 9:1 CR with lightned/balanced crank(69mm) , rods,pistons and flywheel(230mm)
Cromoly push rods
Twin Dellortos (40mm)
Engle 130
HD Double spring valves(42x38)
Polished and enlarged heads.
Original box 8x35

Exhaust:
Merged 4x1 5/3.8 with homemade final exhaust

Interior:

Porsche 944 seats
VDO´s
Empi shifter
Tacho Auto meter
Sport steering wheel

Wheels:

Original enlarged:

Back :7j with 195/55/15
Front: 5,5j with 185/55/15

Original Discs/Drums ion the back all around with goodridge brake lines

Sorry to stoped to write but i was working.....
Last 3 weeks i´ve been work hard in the car because i go race next Saturday the 11th.
I will post some old pictures till today , hope to find the good ones

The project started many years a go, 1994 with a big friend. At the time the original color was white but Blue was the choice.
The car was for painting for a year, because my friend lives in France and just come here one time per year, that´s why he stoped the project and asked me to finish the car.so the car was in the garage for almost 12 years already painted and with seats. Its just a short story because i have to thanks to my friend the offer.
Now the day i brought the car home after clean the tank, carburator and change fuel lines.

I brought a few VDOs oldschool in bad conditions but everything is home made so i clean them:

Well so i was already working in the new engine but now it was urgent because no engine to drive around

Just look at this!!!!!



While i was waiting for some pieces , there was another details to work..

The black thing is from the original engine but it´s too big and uggly so i tried this:

Here is a T1 polie but i made an adaptor to use it in my engine. It´s lighter and looks much better.

TMI door panels:


I don´t like the original door handle so i made a new ones in leather



It´s time for the very hard work, in this engine there is different typs of pieces because we use pieces from T1 and T4 engine.Isn´t bad because they are much cheaper.
Here i used a T1 manifolds, but it was necessary to make it stronger because the ports are much bigger:

The weather was terrible so i couldn´t work in the car but some goodies arrived:

It´s the day for the MOT so i have to change the tires and take a friend´s engine:




The weather was better and a few weeks after i started again



Always happy to work in the car!!!



Preparing the box because the flywheel is too big(230mm) so i had to "eat" a lot of metal


Making some wholes to let the hit go out...
